Overcome this obstacle now!
Oi. Tudo bem? (Hi, everything OK?)
Do you need to type the Portuguese keyboard characters on your computer?
this may be the reason why you came to this page.
Either if you are typing from a PC or Mac, it's not a big deal.
All you have to do is, either follow the codes I give you in these tables, or print out the image of the (European or Brazilian) Portuguese keyboards and place it next to you own keyboard.
And that's it.
So here you have the codes to type the Portuguese characters.
If you are using Windows:
| CAPITAL LETTERS || Code || lower case letters || Code |
| À || ALT+0192 || à || ALT+0224 |
| Á || ALT+0193 || á || ALT+0225 |
| Ã || ALT+0195 ||ã || ALT+0227 |
| Â || ALT+0194 ||â || ALT+0226 |
| É || ALT+0201 || é || ALT+0233 |
| Ê || ALT+0202 || ê || ALT+0234 |
| Í || ALT+0205 || í || ALT+0237 |
| Ó ||ALT+0211 ||ó || ALT+0243 |
| Ô || ALT+0212 || ô || ALT+0244 |
|Õ ||ALT+0213 ||õ || ALT+0245 |
| Ú || ALT+0218 ||ú || ALT+0250|
| Ü || ALT+0220 || ü || ALT+0252 |
| Ç || ALT+0199 || ç || ALT+0231 |
So, as you can see, it's very easy! All you have to do is press ALT and the corresponding code to the letter you want to type at the same time.
